Differential lock is controlled with a hydraulically applied clutch. Oil is supplied to the differential lock valve from the regulated supply circuit. Supply flow for the differential lock clutch is distributed internally (no external tubing) to the clutch. The valve is mounted on top of the rear transmission housing. The differential lock solenoid (2) is controlled by a button on the Integrated Control Panel (ICP) on the armrest console. The Armrest Control Unit (ARU) communicates (via the CAN data bus) with the Tractor Control Unit (TCU).The TCU controller supplies current to the differential lock solenoid valve to activate the differential lock clutch based on commands from the operator: the operator can choose manual or automatic differential lock operation. The TCU uses input from the brake pedal switches, true ground speed circuit, hitch position control system, transmission speed signal circuit and the tractor steering angle to engage or disengage differential lock during automatic operation.
