Manual Extract Checking Noise Control
The following checks must be done to make sure that there is enough noise control:
1. Check to make sure that all nuts and bolts that hold sheet metal, floor plates, guards, etc., are tight. All loose parts must be fastened in position.
2. Check all of the pads to make sure that the pads are not damaged or missing. Replace any pads that are damaged. Install new pads in any places where the pads are missing.
3. Check noise insulators such as the engine mounts, hydraulic tube insulators, etc., for damage.
Install new parts if necessary.
4. Check the maximum engine speed with no load according to the instructions in Section 3012.
5. Increase the engine speed from low idle to full throttle, 200 rpm (r/min) at a time, and check for vibration. If there is too much vibration at any engine speed, find the cause of the vibration and make repairs.
