The symptoms could be low flow, aerated oil or unusually loud pump operation possibly due to cavitation. 1. Install both articulation cylinder locking blocks before performing any tests. 2. Place cardboard in front of the oil cooler to help heat the oil. Install a load loop into a remote section to aid in heating up system. Start the tractor and run at 1000 RPM until the hydraulic oil reaches a minimum of 50 °C (120 °F). Remove the cardboard from in front of the oil cooler. 3. Install a 7 bar (100 psi) pressure gauge to the charge pressure diagnostic port located inside the right hand service door. Increase engine speed to 2000 RPM. Charge pressure should be minimum 2 bar (30 psi) at 2000 RPM. If charge pressure is low this may indicate that the charge pump is losing efficiency and may need replacement. When complete, remove both articulation cylinder locking blocks.
