Air Leaks Between The Turbocharger And Intake Or Exhaust Manifolds. An air leak will cause a wrong air to fuel ratio and will result in low engine power. Inspect for leaks and replace any faulty gaskets. 2. More Than One Seal Washer On The Injector Nozzle. Inspect for extra seal washers or washers that were not removed when the injectors were removed. Extra washers will cause sealing problems and low compression. Make sure the old seal washers are removed and install a new seal washer. 2. Fuel Injection Nozzles Not Working Correctly. Combustion in the engine cylinders will not be correct if the following conditions are present: A low cracking pressure. B. spray pattern that is not correct. C. a spray orifice that is not open. Remove and test the fuel injection nozzles. 4. Turbocharger Does Not Work Correctly. A bad turbocharger will not supply the required compressed air to the intake manifold. The engine will smoke from the bad mixture. There will be a loss of power in the engine. Inspect the turbocharger for wear of parts and for correct lubrication. Make sure that the compressor wheel turns freely.
