Use the CAS-1690 tool to rotate the flywheel and align the pins in the flywheel with the holes in the coupling (3) on the drive shaft of the hydraulic pump (1 ). 2. Tighten the cap screws (2) that hold the hydraulic pump (1) to the flywheel housing to the torque specification shown on page 3. Loctite 262 must be applied on the threads in the holes in the flywheel housing. 3. Fill the hydraulic reservoir with oil. See Section 1002 for specifications. 4. Start and run the engine at low idle for two minutes. Bur 7-45060 5. Increase the engine speed to full throttle. Operate the controls to extend and retract all cylinders to remove the air from the hydraulic system. 6. Continue to run the engine at full throttle. Operate the tool control. After the tool stops moving hold the control in the power position for 30 seconds. Then release the control for 15 seconds. Repeat this procedure three times. 7. Stop the engine and check for oil leaks. 8. Check the level of the oil in the hydraulic reservoir and add oil as required. See Section 1002 for specifications.
