Apply engine oil to the camshaft. 2. Apply the engine oil to the bridge. 3. Temporarily tighten the rocker arm shaft onto the camshaft carrier. NOTE: Temporarily tighten the bolts in the numerical order indicated in the diagram. Tightening order. i. Front mark 4. Securely tighten the rocker arm shaft onto the camshaft carrier. NOTE: Securely tighten them in the numerical order indicated in the diagram. Tightening torque: 90 N·m (66 lb ft) M8 bolt. 5. Loosen the adjust screw using the wrench. NOTE: Completely loosen the adjust screw on the rocker arm side. 6. Loosen the adjust screw using the special tool. NOTE: Completely loosen the adjust screw on the bridge side. Special tool: Valve clearance adjust nut wrench (1) (Refer to Cylinder head – Special tools (10.101)) NOTICE: Make sure the adjust screw on the bridge side is not loosened too much because it may fall off.
