(2) Before reassembling the pump, visually check all parts to be sure they are clean, and apply hydraulic oil to the inside surfaces of the body. (3) Apply a thin coat of grease to the oil seal. (4) When installing the drive and driven gears, be sure to engage their teeth in such a way as to re-create the original engagement. (5) Tighten the cover bolts to the specified torque. Tightening Torque for Cover Bolts: 11.1 to 12.5 kgf.m (80-90 lbf-ft) {109 to 123 N.m} (6) The fit of the pump gears in the reassembled pump may be deemed satisfactory if the pump shaft rotates smoothly and freely when turned by hand with a 10 mm (0.4 in.) adjustable wrench. (7) If the cover, drive gear and/or driven gear has to be replaced, replace the pump assembly
