The piston is made of aluminum alloy and the connecting rod bearings are made of aluminum based material which is very resistive to high load. A bushing is used in the small end of the connecting rod, the connecting rod bearings are under forced lubrication, and the piston and small end bushing are under splash lubrication. This leads to high durability against high speed, high temperature, and high load operation. Cylinder Block Water Pressure Proof of Cylinder Block: The cylinder block should be considered to be water tight if it is immune to 3 minute application of water pressure of k kgf/sq cm (71.1 psi) without any water leakage. Distortion of Cylinder Block Top: Measure the flatness of the top surface of the cylinder block by putting a straight rule diagonally across the four corners on the top and check for clearance with thickness gauges. If the measured clearance is exceeds 0.15 mm (.006 in), correct the surface on a surface grinder so that the clearance becomes less than 0.08 mm (.0031 in). The ground down limit should be 0.4 mm (0.16 in). Consider that excessive ground down affects the compression ratio.
