Procedure 1. Start the engine and lower the lower arms of the hitch as far as possible using the tractor electronic control. 2. Disconnect the supply hose from the union (1) and remove the ram (6). Disassembly Procedure 1. Remove the elbow or straight union (1) (depending on assembly) fitted with its "O" ring. 2. Pull the rod from the ram (5) until the snap ring (4) appears in port O of the union. 3. Insert a screwdriver in this port and offset the snap ring into the adjacent V-shaped groove of the rod while turning the rod at the same time. 4. Remove the rod and the snap ring (4). Drive out the wiper seal (2) and the seal (3) (systematically discard the three parts). Reassembly Procedure 1. Carefully clean all the parts except for the seals. Dry them using a jet of compressed air. Replace any components found to be scratched or damaged. In case of seizure or if there is significant scratching on the functional components, replace the ram. 2. Lubricate the assemblies with clean transmission oil. 3. Assemble the ram. Carry out steps see Reassembly step 4, page 6-265 to see Reassembly step 2, page 6-265 (see  chapter Preliminary steps, page 6-265 ) in reverse order, applying the following operations: • Always fit a new snap ring and new seals. • Use a suitable fixture to fit the parts home without damaging the seals. • Carefully refit the rod into the ram body. 4. If necessary, repeat the step see step 3, page 6-265 for the second ram. Final steps Procedure 1. Lubricate the upper and lower pins of the ram with AS767 graphite grease or equivalent and refit the ram. Reconnect the supply hose. 2. Start the engine Using the tractor's electronic linkage system (ELC), activate the lower arms of the hitch in turn, from the high position to the low position and vice versa. 3. Check that the hitch operates correctly and that there is no leakage of oil around the rim of the ram.
