The most important maintenance operations are those related to safety. The points that have special significance from the safety point-of-view are indicated with a A mark in this manual.
Checking performance of parking brake
1. Steer the machine to the right side. Lower boom and bucket to the ground. Stop the engine.
Remove the connector of the electrical line from the parking brake solenoid valve (see the photo) to apply the parking brake.
2. Lower the boom to the lower limit, and roll back the bucket until it contacts the stopper.
3. Set the shift lever to 3rd reverse speed.
4. Gradually increase the engine speed. The machine should not move at the maximum speed.
If the machine begins to move with the parking brake applied, the brake shoes are burnt or misadjusted.
At the completion of parking brake test, be sure to connect the connector of electrical line to the solenoid valve again
