If you drain the coolant or disconnect the heater hose when the coolant temperature is high, you may be scalded. In this case, wait until the coolant temperature lowers and then drain the coolant or disconnect the heater hose. If refrigerant gas (R134a) gets in your eyes, you may lose your sight. If it touches your skin, you may suffer frostbite. Accordingly, put on protective eyeglasses, gloves and working suits with long sleeves while you are collecting or filling the refrigerant (R134a).
